Butte, Montana has some great holiday events and concerts this December to help you get into the holiday spirit. Check below for events to fill your calendar!
Butte Christmas Stroll, December 2, 5-9pm, Main Street
Kick off the holiday shopping season in Butte, Montana at the 21st annual Uptown Christmas Stroll! The event features a parade of high school marching bands, Santa Claus, hay rides, arts and crafts, music and street vendors. Visitors are encouraged to explore Butte’s business district including the county courthouse, antique stores, bars and restaurants during this stroll. Rat Pack Show, December 7, 8pm, Mother Lode Theatre
Legendary comedian Buddy Hackett lives on in his son Sandy Hackett’s new Rat Pack Show. Buddy is the voice of a fallen angel introducing performers Vegas, Dino, Sammy, Joey and Chairman Frankie. The new Rat Pack is here with both old and new jokes to entertain all audiences. Tickets are $25 to $52 dollars with surcharges. To buy tickets, visit www.buttearts.org.

Ice Sculpting Contest, December 10, 9am-3pm, Metal Sports Grill & Bar, Butte
Saturday starts with Breakfast with Santa starts at 10:30am at $7.50 per person. Santa will bring early gifts for nice children and lumps of coal for naughty ones. From 9am to 3pm, look for ice carvers on the hill, as several teams will chip away at ice blocks weighing 340 pounds. Nearly 50 teams will compete for prizes in adult and child categories. Curt Olds & Friends in Concert, December 20, 7:30pm, Mother Lode Theatre
Curt Olds will perform with New York and Missoula stars Gerald Stechen, Emily Pulley and Scott Scully, among others. The concert’s theme will be “Home for the Holidays 2011”, as all of the musicians attending grew up in Montana. Curt Olds has a busy career in musical theatre and opera and currently resides in New York. Tickets to this one-of-a-kind event are $22-$28. Additional surcharges per ticket apply.
