It’s time for art enthusiasts of every kind to unite in Montana every first Thursday of the month for the Butte Phantom Gallery Art Walk. This event was started by local artists Ray Campeau and Philip Kunz as a way to stimulate economic development in Uptown Butte. Eventually, it became a yearly exhibition in celebration of local artists and made for visitors to enjoy throughout the summertime. So show your support and come walk the streets of beautiful Butte, Montana at the monthly Art Walk.
The Butte Phantom Gallery Art Walk is made possible by the businesses and building owners that loan out their properties and allow local organizers to turn them into “phantom” galleries for this momentous evening event. Each Art Walk is filled with a variety of entertaining performances and exhibits, including belly dancing, theater mimes and stunt men. Additionally, there is a reception every month for the featured artist in the U.S. Bank, which is located at 10 S. Main. This is the perfect excuse to get outdoors and enjoy the scenery, people and art of the greater Montana area.
In an effort to satisfy each visitor’s unique taste, the Art Walk will feature a wide variety of both professional and emerging artists of every type. Everything is also displayed in a way that makes every piece meaningful and attractive for those that appreciate the true art of painting, drawing and photography. This is the ongoing affair that brings together the talents of those throughout the area and beyond, so it’s worth the visit. Who knows, you may discover the next Picasso in Butte, Montana!
